Top Ten FAQ

  1. What drove you to make this documentary? My own grandchildren’s early deaths, food allergies, neurological problems and my desire to see everyone live a healthy, full life, free of toxicity in their food, water and air.
  2. Why a docu-series? We plan to look at the relationship of nutrition to several diseases such as MS, Parkinsons, diabetes, cancer etc. Because our base of operations is in Prescott, Arizona and this place has a special relationship with the recovery community, we decided to lead with a look at nutrition and addiction.
  3. How does this film differ from other “food films” that laud the benefits of healthy eating? Nobody is addressing the relationship between food toxicity and addiction and recovery.
  4. What do you want people in the local community to know about this film? Whether they realize it or not, the fall out from addiction effects us all. We will show viewers how lack of nutrition affects everyone, not just the person experiencing the pain.
  5. What do you hope to achieve by producing this film? I hope to open people’s eyes, minds and hearts to what has happened to our food system. Who benefits and who pays.
  6. What’s your number one take away from this process so far? While it is a very difficult process to raise not just awareness but funding, I would do it again in a heartbeat. People have been very supportive and eager to learn.
  7. What’s the relationship of the film to your book God Made Organics, not GMOs? The book talks about the politics and economics behind our broken food system. The film will show much of the same, but with personal stories of the participants struggles to stay sober.
  8. What’s great about being the Executive Producer? I have the opportunity to tell the stories of those involved in a way that is compelling and compassionate, treating our participants with integrity and non-exploitation.
  9. How did you land award winning producer Windy Borman? I spoke to Windy about a year ago about her latest documentary, and she was very interested in hearing more about my ideas of this film.
  10. Have you found support for this message in the community? Those that understand the importance of shedding light on this important subject have been very supportive of our endeavors. Even those that don’t have much in the way of discretionary funds have shown interest and a desire to help in any way possible.
